When you visit our Platform, we may automatically collect:

• •Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, click patterns, and referring URLs

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• •Match you with contractors: Share your project details with relevant, verified contractors who can provide quotes
• •Facilitate communication: Enable Customers and Contractors to connect regarding projects
• •Send notifications: Confirm quote submissions, alert contractors to new leads, and provide project updates via email
• •Improve our services: Analyse usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features
• •Verify contractors: Validate trade licenses, insurance, and business credentials
• •Prevent fraud: Detect and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, or security threats
• •Comply with law: Meet legal obligations under UAE law and respond to lawful requests from authorities

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your personal information only in the following circumstances:

• •With matched contractors: When you submit a quote request, we share your project details and contact information with 3-4 matched contractors so they can provide quotes. Contractors receive only the information necessary to assess and quote your project.
• •Service providers: We use trusted third-party services for hosting (Vercel), database management (Supabase), and email delivery (Resend). These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
• •Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• •Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

We never sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (cloud infrastructure). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• •SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
• •Row-level security (RLS) policies to restrict database access
• •Access controls limiting who within our organisation can view personal data
• •Regular security reviews and monitoring

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:

• •Quote requests: Retained for 3 years from the date of submission
• •Contractor profiles: Retained for the duration of the contractor's registration plus 2 years after deactivation
• •Reviews and ratings: Retained indefinitely as they form part of the public record on the Platform
• •Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymised data may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes

6. Your Rights

Under the UAE PDPL and applicable regulations, you have the right to:

• •Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• •Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• •Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
• •Restriction: Request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances
• •Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw your consent to data processing at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)
• •Complaint: Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office if you believe your rights have been violated

The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside the UAE (our hosting and database providers operate global infrastructure). When data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with the UAE PDPL, including contractual obligations with our service providers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
